HIV disease Publication

The Numedx Experience
Welcome to the first in a new breed of publications—a hybrid between a traditional medical journal and a patient information magazine for people with HIV disease. Numedx takes a three-tier approach to combating and preventing HIV disease—nutrition, medicine, exercise—hence, the name Numedx.
Each issue of Numedx will focus on a specific medical condition associated with HIV disease. Our timely columns are written by some of the world’s top experts in nutrition, medicine and exercise. This publication will also focus attention on the impact of complementary (or alternative) therapies.
The Numedx team is a strong one, and reads like a who’s who of the HIV publishing and medical community. Our Editorial Director, Richard Pérez-Feria, was the founding Editor in Chief of POZ, the most celebrated health-related magazine launched this decade. George Slowik, Jr., Numedx’s Publishing Director, was Out magazine’s first Publisher and is Chair Emeritus of DIFFA. Executive Editor of Numedx, Michael Slezak, is also Senior Editor of American Druggist, a 126-year-old magazine serving the nation’s pharmacy community. co-founder of Numedx, Tadd Scott Lazarus, M.D., was already an influential fixture in the medical community before most people really knew what AIDS was and how it was contracted. Tadd—whose accomplishments and accolades are too many to list here—serves as our Executive Medical Director.
Although there has been a tremendous amount of good news and hope in the fight against HIV over the last couple of years, there are still a number of unanswered questions. We strive to make Numedx a forum for discussion about those unanswered questions by bringing you the latest and most complete information surrounding HIV in a format that is easy to read and simple to use. I am confident that Numedx is where more medical experts will turn to help them make infomed HIV disease treatment decisions.
All of us at Numedx are here to help in the journey to a better quality of life for all AIDS-impacted persons psychology. Until there’s a cure, there’s information. Welcome.
